For most of the region, "snow" is still in the forecast as temperatures fall at, or just below, freezing Sunday night. Monday? Windy and cool.
But, on the other side of that chilling news, spring will actually start springing.

Mid-week will be sunny, with temperatures reaching the 70s. The air will cool with a chance of showers by the end of the week. But highs will be in the 60s and lows far from the winter threat this weekend.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service:
Sunday Night: Occasional rain and snow showers before midnight, then scattered snow showers between midnight and 3am. Low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 47. Northwest wind 10 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 31.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
Friday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
