• Melton, Serita Hurst (nrvnews.com) — Pulaski friends and neighbors are mourning the passing of 54-year-old Serita Diane Hurst Melton, a Pulaski native who died at home on December 8. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, December 27, at Open Door Baptist Church on Memorial Drive in Pulaski, with visitation one hour prior and arrangements by Bower Funeral Home & Crematory.
   

• NRCC Concert Series presents Blue Tradition and New Ballard's Branch Bogtrotters (pcpatriot.com) — Pulaski-area music fans can catch free bluegrass and old-time tunes when Blue Tradition and the New Ballard's Branch Bogtrotters perform at NRCC in Dublin this Saturday evening. Supported by several Pulaski businesses and organizations, the monthly concert series welcomes donations to help cover musicians’ travel while keeping admission open to everyone.
   

• Wright, Douglas (nrvnews.com) — A longtime Pulaski native, Douglas “Doug” Wright, 65, has passed away, leaving family and friends mourning his loss and remembering his love of music and flat-foot dancing. Born in Pulaski in 1960, he later lived in the New River Valley, with arrangements handled by Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
