Virginia Beach City Public Schools is making free, unlimited teletherapy a reality for some students (whro.org) — Middle and high schoolers in Virginia Beach City Public Schools now have access to free, unlimited teletherapy through a new partnership with provider Uwill, funded by a state grant. Students can schedule same-day virtual sessions, including evenings and weekends, with Virginia-licensed therapists who match their specific needs, adding another layer of mental health support beyond school-based counseling.
   

2. Virginia Beach introduces $50 annual parking vouchers for residents (wavy.com) — Virginia Beach residents will soon be able to buy $50 annual parking vouchers for Oceanfront garages, lots, and meters starting with a new program launching by April 1, 2026. The vouchers require proof of residency, are managed through a mobile app, and can be reloaded once for $25, aiming to make visiting the Resort Area more affordable for locals.

Suspects in carjacking robbed victims at gunpoint prior to police chase on I-64 E: Court docs (wric.com) — Virginia Beach Police say two men accused of robbing victims at gunpoint and stealing their car were arrested after a chase that ended in a crash on I-64 near I-464 in Chesapeake. A VBPD officer fired at one suspect during the foot pursuit but missed, and both men were later taken into custody with no officers injured.
   

4. Gov.-elect Spanberger wants to steady, grow Virginia's economy amid ‘chaos' in Washington (kentucky.com) — Virginia Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger brought her economic message to the Virginia Beach Convention Center, promising to steady Virginia’s business climate amid what she calls federal “chaos.” Speaking to hundreds of regional leaders, she highlighted plans on energy, housing, health care, workforce training, and reaffirmed she won’t repeal the state’s right-to-work status.
