• After safety concerns, Warrenton to resume permit requests for Courthouse Square (fauquiernow.com) — Warrenton will once again accept permit requests for events at Courthouse Square after completing traffic and pedestrian safety upgrades. Police Chief Timothy Carter told Town Council the area is now safe enough for gatherings, ending a two-year pause that began amid Black Lives Matter and counterprotests. Permits will be required only for planned events of 15 or more people.
