Prince William Living Inc. Named 2012 New Business of the Year

Prince William Living Inc. has been named the 2012 winner of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce New Business of the Year Award. Prince William Living Editor in Chief and Publisher Elizabeth Kirkland and President Rebecca Barnes were presented the award by Alex Orfinger, publisher of the Washington Business Journal, at the Prince William Chamber of Commerce's Annual Business Awards Dinner. 

Prince William Living is a founding charter member of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. Barnes and Kirkland support the Chamber through their sponsorship package and regular participation in events. Barnes, a past chairman of the Chamber, sits on both the Valor Awards Committee and the Marketing Committee for the upcoming inaugural Grand Slam Community Event, of which Prince William Living is a proud sponsor. Kirkland is a member of the Chamber's Telework Task Force. Prince William Living promotes Chamber events on Facebook and Twitter on a regular basis.

Prince William Living is a lifestyle magazine whose mission is to show the people of Prince William and Greater Manassas all that is special and unique about the community.  "Prince William Living is directly responsible for bringing positive news about our region to thousands of households each month, enlightening and educating readers about arts, entertainment and events in our greater Prince William region," said Kathy Ellington, executive director of Leadership Prince William, which prepares existing and emerging community leaders for leadership positions in business, local government and community affairs.

Connie Moser, president of Neabsco Action Alliance, said, "Prince William Living not only reflects the best of our community, it holds the possibility that every neighborhood has some treasure waiting to be discovered and showcased. Martin E. Nohe, Coles District representative, Prince William Board of County Supervisors, summed it up: "Because of the positive impact that Prince William Living has had on the culture of our county and the business community, because of the entrepreneurial spirit that started this venture, and because of the success that it has had and clearly will continue to have, Prince William Living is truly worthy of our praise and recognition, and I can think of no more appropriate honor for its founders."
