Woodbridge Abduction Suspect Sought By Prince William Police
The Prince William County Police Department is looking for a man who is accused of assaulting and abducting an acquaintance on July 4.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man from Woodbridge is wanted by police after he was accused of assaulting and abducting a woman on the 4th of July at his apartment near Lake Ridge. Authorities identified the man as 30-year-old Brendan Robert McGuire.
Prince William County police officers responded to the Springwoods at Lake Ridge apartment complex in the 12300 block of Wellspring Way to investigate a report of a domestic incident. Officers arrived on the scene at 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 4.
There, a victim, a 27-year-old woman, told police that she had an argument with an acquaintance, who she identified as McGuire. According to the police report, McGuire prevented the victim from leaving the apartment where they were arguing.

"On more than one occasion, the accused grabbed and pulled the victim, preventing her from leaving the apartment," the Prince William County Police Department wrote in a report.

Eventually, the woman was able to escape the apartment and contacted authorities. She reported minor injuries from the assault, police said.
After an investigation, the police department obtained arrest warrants for McGuire. He is charged with abduction and domestic assault & battery.
So far, police have been unable to locate McGuire.

Authorities described McGuire as a white man who is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 145 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, police said.
