Attempted Drive-By Shooting on Hoffman Drive

Prince William County Police responded to investigate a report of shots fired at the 4100 block of Hoffman Drive in Woodbridge Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The victim, a 33-year-old Woodbridge man, told police he and a known acquaintance were standing in his yard when an unknown red SUV pulled in front of the residence. Once the vehicle stopped, an occupant of the SUV reportedly shot toward the victim and his acquaintance. The vehicle then continued down Hoffman Drive before making a U-turn and approaching the residence again, at which time the occupant fired toward the victim and the acquaintance a second time.

No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the incident, the vehicle sped away from the area. No description of the driver or its occupants was provided. The incident does not appear to be random, according to Prince William County Police.
