WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on Dec. 3, kicking off the holiday season for the Woodbridge community.

The Woodbridge area will be hosting other holiday events throughout the month of December. Check out the calendar for an event that interests you.

Dec. 3 — Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at National Museum of the Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Dec. 5 — Military Kids Breakfast with Santa, Potomac Mills Food Court, 2700 Potomac Mills Circle, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Dec. 6-22 — Holidays Through the Ages at Rippon Lodge, 15500 Blackburn Road, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 8 — Pet Photos with Santa, Potomac Mills Mall, 2700 Potomac Mills Circle, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Dec. 8 — Woodbridge Community Choir Christmas Concert, Ferlazzo Building, 15941 Donald Curtis Drive, 3 p.m.

Dec. 13-14 — The First Christmas, Hylton Memorial Chapel, 14540 Potomac Mills Road, performances from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. each day.

Dec. 14 — Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, Cecil W. Garrison Park, 17749 Main Street, Dumfries, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
