The DoD Warrior Games, an annual sporting competition, will feature 270 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans from across the country. The 2015 games will have eight sporting events with athletes representing teams from the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, Navy/Coast Guard, Air Force, Special Operations Command and the British Armed Forces.

The Warrior Games are similar to the Paralympics, and will include track and field events, swimming races, wheelchair basketball and seated volleyball. This is the first year that the Defense Department is organizing the games, which were previously run by the U.S. Olympic Committee and held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
