Face Masks Required In Certain County Facilities

Forgot a mask? Depending on which Prince William County building you’re stopping by, you may not need to worry about it.

Those who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 don’t need to wear face masks in certain facilities.

This includes community members who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least two weeks prior.

Masks, health checks, and 3 feet of social distancing indoors are required for kid’s programs run by local libraries and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, according to a release from the Office of Communications.

Visitors of the Adult Detention Center, Area Agency on Aging, the Department of Community Services, the Office of Criminal Justice Services, and the Department of Social Services must mask up in healthcare and congregate areas.

Face coverings are recommended for those who aren’t fully vaccinated and required for county employees who haven’t received all needed vaccines.

Starting June 1, members of the public can reserve conference rooms for July 1 and on through the Department of Facilities and Fleet Management.
