Farmers Markets and Fresh Produce Desired in Woodbridge
Why are there no Farmers Markets in Woodbridge?
Woodbridge, VA has many extracurricular activities to offer its residents: baseball games, free concerts, parks, marinas and a sizable outlet mall. But since the community has exploded population-wise in the last ten years, the demand for higher amenities has the community rushing to catch up with itself.

Woodbridge may not have its own Farmers Market, but that won't stop Woodbridge residents or vendors from shopping and selling at Farmers Markets in the Northern Virginia area.
While there is a proposed "Farmers Market" area located behind the office park at County Center Crossing off the Prince William Parkway; the place is seldom used.

Farmers Markets nearby take place in Occoquan and Manassas during the summer months and are a popular shopping destination for the Woodbridge community. Because of the cross-town nature of Prince William County, residents do not hesitate to leave their abodes in search of fresh produce and hot pies.
This fall, Farmers Markets are returning to neighboring towns, Dumfries and Dale City.
Every Saturday at the Occoquan Farmers Market, sponsored by the Occoquan Merchants Association, Woodbridge vendors can be found selling their fares at the historic waterfront, just a few minutes from Interstate 95 and directly underneath Route 123.
Vendors include produce, pastry and artisans from as close as Woodbridge, Occoquan, Colonial Beach, Fairfax, Herndon, Fredericksburg, VA and as far away as Biglerville, PA.
Woodbridge vendors such as Little Jack Horner's Corner, Get Dressed, Josephine's Desserts and Oh So Good come to the Farmers Market because they don't have alternative options within the town of Woodbridge to sell their fares.
The Occoquan Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. - 12 noon until Nov. 6.
No plans are currently in the works for a Woodbridge Farmers Market; but residents are certain to visit markets out of the confines of the area.
