A heat advisory has been issued for Tuesday afternoon, with temperatures expected to feel like 109 degrees.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Damaging storms Monday night have knocked out power to hundreds of Woodbridge residents Tuesday morning. Crews are working to repair issues as a heat advisory looms for Tuesday afternoon across the region.
According to Dominion Power, 467 customers in the area were without service as of 9 a.m. Tuesday, all related to the storm damage Monday night. Many of these customers have been given a "restoration window" of mid-afternoon or early evening.
The heat index, or "feels like" temperature could reach 109 degrees Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Those without air-conditioning will need to seek out a cool spot or risk heat-related illness.
