2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast Released
Now that the snow threats are behind us, forecasters are already looking to the potential impacts of the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The experts at Colorado State University have issued their forecast for the upcoming season, which starts June 1 and runs through Nov. 30.
The good news is that forecasters anticipate average hurricane activity this year. That bad news is that average could still produce a total of 12 named storms, five hurricanes and two major hurricanes, according to Colorado State’s forecast. >>> Read more.

Great White Shark ‘Mary Lee’: She’s Ba-aack!
A shark named Mary Lee has returned to the waters off the Virginia coastline. Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m., the 16-foot Great White Shark's dorsal fin broke the surface of the water off the Virginia coastline, sending a signal to the satellite that's been tracking her.
Since her appearance Tuesday night, Mary Lee is back swimming under the surface of the chilly waters off the Virginia coastline, where the water is in the 50-55 degree range. >>> Read more.
