Jayson Werth, an outfielder for the Nats, will suit up tonight as a member of the Potomac Nationals as they take on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at 7:05 p.m. at Pfitzner Stadium. Werth, 36, has been sent to the P-Nats as part of his rehabilitation from a wrist injury he suffered in May, the minor league club said in a statement.
The P-Nats and the Pelicans play in the Class A Carolina League.

Werth was placed on the 15-day disabled list on May 19 after being hit by a pitch on his left wrist in a May 15 game against the San Diego Padres. An MRI revealed multiple fractures in Werth’s wrist, which landed him on the DL for the second time this season, the P-Nats said.
Werth also joined the Potomac Nationals on Opening Night 2015 (April 9), and then played again with the P-Nats in a doubleheader on April 11 while on the mend from right shoulder surgery, the Woodbridge club said.
Known to Nationals fans at “the Wolf” because of his beard, Werth played for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008 when they won the World Series, and he was a 2009 National League All-Star. Werth is a career .274 hitter.
