Man Accused of Shooting Into Occupied Car in Woodbridge

Police are still searching for a 22-year-old Woodbridge man accused of shooting into a car occupied by a known acquaintance Oct. 3.

Police are actively searching for a man accused of shooting into a vehicle occupied by a known acquaintance in Woodbridge earlier this month.

According to Prince William County Police, a 22-year-old Stafford woman said she was sitting in her vehicle in the Georgetown Road/Wren Court area in Woodbridge when she encountered Christian Zyere Bacote, a known acquaintance.

Bacote brandished and pointed a handgun toward the victim, then reportedly shot multiple rounds at the vehicle before fleeing the area. Bullets struck the victim’s vehicle but no injuries were reported, according to police.

The incident occurred Friday, Oct. 3 around 11 a.m.

Police have yet to locate 22-year-old Christian Zyere Bacote, who is wanted for shooting into an occupied vehicle. He is described as a 6’1”, 160-pound black male with a medium build, light complexion, black dreadlocks and brown eyes.
