Man Charged With Burglary, Assault, Abduction In Woodbridge: Cops
A man from Fairfax faces charges of burglary, assault, and abduction after he was accused of breaking into a home in Woodbridge on Sunday.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man from Fairfax was arrested and charged with burglary, assault, abduction, and other crimes. The man, Jonathan Larz Reger, is accused of breaking into an acquaintance's home in Woodbridge on Sunday and preventing her from leaving.
Police responded to the victim's home in the 3400 block of Brookeville Lane to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, told police that she was awakened when an acquaintance forced his way into her home.
Police claim that Reger had a machete and threatened the victim before striking a door with the weapon. Authorities said that when the woman tried to call police, the suspect took her phone from her.

The victim said that she tried to escape the home several times, but the suspect pulled her back into the home each time. Reger is also accused of kicking the victim before she was finally able to escape the home.
The woman eventually drove away in her car and contacted police. She did not report any injuries, according to the police report.

Reger was located and taken into custody without further incident, police said.
Reger is charged with abduction, burglary, domestic assault and battery, possession of burglarious tools, preventing the summoning of law enforcement, and petit larceny.
His bond was listed as unavailable, and his court date is scheduled for June 15, 2021.
