Man Charged With Rape Of 11-Year-Old Girl In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man from Maryland was arrested on Monday after he was charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Woodbridge, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The man was identified as Christopher Rodriguez, a 23-year-old man from Bladensburg, Maryland.

Officers initially received a report of a rape at 12:30 a.m. on Monday, June 14, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said the rape occurred at a home in Woodbridge on Sunday morning.

After their investigation, officers said that the victim, an 11-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance. They identified the acquaintance as Rodriguez.

Officers located Rodriguez in Manassas on Monday. They claimed that he was intoxicated when they took him into custody.

Now, Rodriguez is charged with public intoxication, rape, aggravated sexual assault, and two counts of sodomy. He is being held without bond.

His court date for the public intoxication charge is scheduled for Oct. 8, according to online court records. His other court dates were still pending, the police department said.
