Man Impersonating Cop Arrested In Dumfries: Police
A Triangle man was arrested after posing as a cop in Dumfries, according to Prince William County Police.

DUMFRIES, VA—A man was arrested July 11 after posing as a cop near the intersection of Van Buren Road and Fettler Park Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Christopher Santiago, 21, of the 4400 block of Potomac Highlands Circle in Triangle, was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and impersonating a firefighter.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., officers on patrol noticed a vehicle stopped in the aforementioned area with red and white flashing lights. When they approached the driver, who was wearing a bullet proof vest and a gun belt, he identified himself as a government contractor and then a volunteer firefighter. He added that he had stopped his vehicle and activated his lights "to engage with a citizen."
Police ran an employment check and found that Santiago wasn't employed by any law enforcement agency or any other government agency. He was then arrested.
