A Manassas resident is now a Virginia Lottery winner.

Rosalind Abdool won $1 million.

Abdool purchased the ticket at Giant Food, 10100 Dumfries Road in Manassas, which received $10,000 from the Virginia Lottery.

The computer chose the numbers and the first five – 17-18-37-44-53 – matched those drawn on March 10.

Drawings for the Powerball are held at 10:59 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Players have a 1 in 11,688,054 chance of winning $1 million.
