In Memoriam: Thomas McGinnis, 83

Thomas McGinnis, age 83, died April 29, 2019, at Sentara Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Tom was born on July 8, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Thomas and Annabelle McGinnis. He was a 43 year resident of Dumfries, Virginia. Tom worked for and retired from AT&T as a Telecommunications Manager.

Tom is survived by his children: Thomas D. McGinnis of Anchorage, Alaska, and Tracy McGinnis of Dumfries, Virginia; and four grandchildren: Kelly Beth McGinnis, Derek McGinnis, Eric Thompson and Joshua Thompson.

Tom was an avid golfer for many years and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia McGinnis in 2006; his son, "Jaydee" McGinnis in 1990; his father, Thomas B. McGinnis in 1957; his mother, Annabelle McGinnis in 2008;
and his sister, Dorothy McGinnis in 2014.

Tom's wishes were for a private ceremony and burial.
