More 7-Elevens Robbed In Dale City, Dumfries: Police

Two 7-Eleven stores, one in Dumfries and one in Dale City, were robbed at gunpoint over the holiday weekend, according to authorities.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — More 7-Eleven convenience stores in eastern Prince William County were robbed at gunpoint over the holiday weekend, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Locations in Dumfries and Dale City were robbed, police said.

Authorities did not say whether the robberies, which occurred on Saturday and Monday, were connected. No suspects have been identified in connections with the crimes.

On Saturday, July 3, a man entered the 7-Eleven on Cloverdale Road in Dale City. Authorities said the man, who was wearing a mask, walked around the store before approaching the counter.

The man then pulled out a gun and demanded the store employee pull money from the cash register, according to the police report. The suspect then fled the area on foot before police could arrive.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, and an undisclosed amount of money was reported missing. Authorities described the suspect as a Black male, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing about 150 pounds.

Fraley Boulevard's 7-Eleven in Dumfries was robbed at 4 a.m. on Monday, July 5, police said. Again, a store employee told police that a man entered the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded money from the register.

During this encounter, the suspect also fired a shot into a display case behind the store's counter, according to the police report. No injuries were reported. The suspect was only described as a man of unknown race in black clothing.

Last week, two 7-Eleven stores were robbed in Dale City, on Minnieville Road and Darbydale Avenue, according to authorities.
