Myra Jean Watts, 72
She taught French at Gar-Field High School, retiring in 2000 after 35 years in the classroom.

Myra Jean Watts of Bristow, Virginia, died August 5, 2015, peacefully at her home. She was 72.
Myra was born to the late Charles and Mollie White in June 1943 in Gaffney, South Carolina. She graduated from Winthrop College (now Winthrop University) and came to Prince William County to begin her career as an educator.
Myra taught French at Gar-Field High School in Prince William County, retiring in 2000 after 35 years in the classroom. She was an avid reader and bridge player, and enjoyed gardening and BBC comedies.

Myra is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Edwin R. (Bob) Watts; her two daughters, Jennifer Brandt (Jim) and Mollie Rosenburg (Mike) of Gainesville, Va.; four grandchildren, Evan, Carlie, Lindsay and Kendall; and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and others she held dear.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Wayne White of Gaffney, S.C.
