One Dead, Another Injured After Single-Car Crash On I-66: Police
A Woodbridge man died after a single-vehicle crash on I-66 in Prince William County on Saturday, according to Virginia State Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 79-year-old man from Woodbridge died after his car crashed on I-66 near Haymarket on Saturday afternoon. The man, Edward Miller, died at a nearby hospital after the crash, according to Virginia State Police.
A passenger in the car, who police identified as a 78-year-old woman from Woodbridge, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 3 p.m. on Saturday near mile marker 40 on I-66 in Prince William County. A 2016 Dodge Dart was travelling eastbound when it ran off the road.

The car ran off the right side of the road before it flipped, according to a news release from Virginia State Police. The car struck several trees and traveled 35 yards from the roadway before coming to a stop.
An initial investigation by Virginia State Police indicated that a medical emergency may have contributed to the crash. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities did not disclose any other factors that may have led to the crash.
