Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car On Route 1: Police
A 58-year-old man from Woodbridge died after he was hit by a car on Route 1 in Woodbridge on Monday evening, according to authorities.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man died from injuries he suffered after he was struck by a car on Route 1 on Monday evening, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The man, Leonard Ray Brown, died at a hospital on Wednesday from injuries he suffered in the crash.
Authorities said a 2014 Volkswagen Eos was travelling northbound on Route 1 in Woodbridge when it struck a man at the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Mount Pleasant Drive. Brown was walking in the roadway and was not in the crosswalk when the car hit him, police said.
The driver of the Volkswagen Eos was not injured in the crash, and stayed on the scene to cooperate with first responders, according to a police report. The police department also said that speed, alcohol, and drug use were not considered to be factors in the crash.

Brown was flown to a nearby hospital after the crash. He died of his injuries two days later on Wednesday, April 21.
