Potomac Mills opened Friday with comprehensive coronavirus health and safety policies in place to help protect patrons and workers.

WOODBRIDGE, VA – Potomac Mills opened Friday with comprehensive coronavirus health and safety policies in place to help protect patrons and workers from the coronavirus.

Potomac Mills has also partnered with local nonprofits to support initiative that help those in the community who have experienced hardship as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

The new health and safety measures include:

  • Enhanced sanitization and disinfection using CDC-approved products with an emphasis on high-traffic areas such as dining rooms, restrooms, escalators, stairs, directories, trash bins and door knobs.
  • Making protective masks available to shoppers.
  • Offering sanitizing wipes and temperature testing at entrances.
  • Encouraging pre-shopping health screenings to ensure shoppers stay home if they are experiencing symptoms.
  • Offering hand sanitizing stations throughout the shopping center
  • Pre-emptive employee health screening to ensure employees do not go to work within 72 hours of exhibiting symptoms.
  • Enforcement of social distancing practices, including occupancy limitations, furniture spacing and closure of play areas.

"The health, safety and well-being of the community we serve will always be our highest priority, and we have developed a thorough and detailed set of protocols highlighting the exceptional measures we've implemented for shoppers, retailers and employees as we reopen," said General Manager Jennifer Snitselaar in a prepared statement.
