Potomac Nationals 2017 Schedule: Home Opener April 13

Washington's Class A Carolina League affiliate will begin the season on the road in Wilmington, Del., against the Blue Rocks.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Several of the players on the reigning National League East champion Washington Nationals had assorted stops, rehab assignments or otherwise, last season with their minor-league club a little more than 20 miles south.

That would be the Potomac Nationals, a Carolina League Class A affiliate of the Nats, who on Tuesday announced their 2017 schedule.

The home opener at Pfitzner Stadium is April 13 is against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

For the second consecutive season, the P-Nats will begin on the road April 6 in Delaware against the Blue Rocks.

Potomac finished 73-65 last season, 10 games behind the Lynchburg Hillcats, in the Carolina League North.
