Primary Elections In Woodbridge: When, Where To Vote

Polls will be open in Prince William County on Tuesday, from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. If you're in line by 7 p.m., you'll still be able to vote.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — All registered voters in Virginia are eligible to vote in Tuesday's Democratic Party Primary.

The primary will determine which candidates will appear on the Nov. 2 ballot in the following statewide races: governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, as well as local representatives to the Virginia House of Delegates.

Around Prince William County, voters will be able to support their preferred House of Delegates candidate in the multiple districts.

In the 51st district, which spans from Lake Ridge to Nokesville, voters can select their preferred candidate for the Republican nomination. Jeffrey Dove Jr. is competing with Tim Cox for the nomination.

In the 2nd district, which encompasses areas of Woodbridge and Dumfries west of Route 1, incumbent Democratic candidate Candi King faces a challenge from Pamela Montgomery.

In the 31st district, which includes western areas of western Woodbridge that are south of Dale City, incumbent candidate Elizabeth Guzman faces a slew of challengers. Rod Hall, Idris O'Connor, and Kara Pitek are also vying for the Democratic nomination.

The Virginia Republican Party has already chosen its candidates for the Nov. 2 election during a May 8 convention.

Before heading to the polls, voters can check their registration status online, and they can also find their polling place and find out what identification they'll need.

Early voting for the Democratic Party began on April 23. Those ballots can be deposited in the drop-off box outside the elections office in Manassas, at the A.J. Ferlazzo Building across from the Gar-Field Police Station in Woodbridge, or at the Haymarket Community Library.
