Prince William Solid Waste Facilities Closed on July 4th
Resuming operation July 5th
Prince William County Landfill and Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Composting Facility will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Both facilities will resume normal operation on Friday, July 5. Prince William County residents should check with your trash and recycling collection company for possible changes to your pick-up schedule.
The landfill and compost facility are open every day of the year, except New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. These facilities also close at 2 p.m. Christmas Eve.
