Rape Suspect Sought In Woodbridge: Police
Authorities are looking for information about a man who is accused of raping a woman near Golansky Boulevard in Woodbridge on Thursday.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A woman was raped near Golansky Boulevard and Noble Pond Way on Thursday, May 6, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities are looking for anyone who may have more information about the suspect.
Investigators said that on Thursday evening, a 25-year-old woman was sitting the grassy area near Noble Pond Way when an unidentified man approached her from behind.
The man implied that he had a knife and forced the victim to go to a nearby wooded area, according to a report from the police department. Police said the man raped the victim and fled the area on foot.

After the rape, the victim went to a nearby business and contacted emergency personnel.
Detectives with the police department's Special Victims Unit are actively investigating the incident, but have not been able to identify the suspect, according to the police department. Authorities are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or can help identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s, police said. He was approximately 6 feet tall with long blond hair and a gravelly voice.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a dark colored neck gaiter, dark jeans, and construction boots.
