PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Wilbur is truly "some pig," the Prince William County Animal Shelter said. This 2-year-old dog and his endearing smile are available for adoption at the animal shelter.

"He is a short legged little piggie with a big strong body," the animal shelter said in Wilbur's adoption posting. "He is always smiling and ready for an adventure."

Wilbur was found as a stray before he was brought to the animal shelter. So, the shelter does not have very much information about his interaction with children, cats, or other dogs.

Although, the shelter did note that Wilbur may require a patient and attentive owner. "Wilbur has a VERY high prey drive," the shelter said. "So he should not be in a home with any other animals and he should never be allowed to roam or run loose."

Still, this 53-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix would make a great companion, as long as they indulge in regular play sessions with him. More photos and information about Wilbur is available on his PetFinder profile.

The Prince William County Animal Shelter's dog kennel is now open for general visitation. However, masks will be required and the number of people permitted in the kennel at one time will be limited to allow for proper social distancing.
