Service Authority Extends Virtual Classroom Program Through June

WOODBRIDGE, VA — The Prince William County Service Authority extended its H2Go Kids virtual learning program through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. The program, which offers science presentations for children, has served 7,000 students since September, according to a press release from the service authority.

The Prince William County Service Authority's H2Go Kids program is another tool available to teachers as they navigate distance learning throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The program's presentations align with state testing guidelines and cover topics such as watersheds, erosion, weathering, and protecting natural resources.

Michelle Bouchard is the Prince William County Service Authority's Education and Outreach Assistant. "We are thrilled with the response we have received so far from local teachers and look forward to engaging with even more students for the remainder of the year,” Bouchard said in a press release. "We continue to adapt our outreach efforts to support students and teachers during a challenging school year.”

H2Go Kids is a virtual classroom program that consists of live presentations, pre-recorded videos, and activity sheets. The program is designed for students from kindergarten through sixth grade.

Teachers, parents, and administrators can schedule a virtual presentation from the service authority by emailing the Community Outreach Department at outreach@pwcsa.org. Information on the H2Go kids, including activity sheets and experiments, can be found on their website.
