Sheetz Shooting Leads To Father-Son Arrests In Woodbridge: Police
A man was arrested following a shooting at a Sheetz in Woodbridge, and that led to a drug arrest, according to Prince William County Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA —A man was arrested Thursday, June 27, following a shooting at the Sheetz at 5350 Dale Boulevard in which no one was injured, according to Prince William County Police. Michael Eugene Dyer Jr., 29, of the 13400 block of Nystrom Court, was charged with attempted malicious wounding, reckless handling of a firearm and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
His father, Michael Eugene Dyer Sr., 53, of the same address, who was with his son at the scene of the shooting, also was arrested on unrelated drug charges: four counts of possession with intent to distribute illegal narcotics.
Shortly before 1 a.m., police responded to the Sheetz for a reported shooting and found that the person who was shot at had been in argument with Dyer Sr. earlier that night at a residence before they eventually separated. But when the victim later went to Sheetz, he was confronted by Dyer Sr. as well as Dyer Jr. The latter whipped out a gun and shot it at the victim but missed. No injuries were reported and the victim fled and contacted police.

Police later found the son and father, as well as a firearm. A search warrant was executed at the home after the father was found with suspected drugs. Police then found more drugs and an undisclosed amount of money, and that led to the father's arrest.
