Special Olympics Virginia Opens Registration For Seasonal Polar Plunge

HENRICO, VA - It’s almost the time of year when thousands of brrr-ave fans jump into icy oceans, rivers, lakes and pools for a great cause, Special Olympics Virginia. So what are you waiting for? Online registration for all four Polar Plunge® 2017 locations – Virginia Beach, the New River Valley, Richmond and Northern Virginia – is officially open.

Freeze the Dates!
Virginia Beach: Feb. 3-4
New River Valley: Feb. 18
Richmond: Feb. 25
Northern Virginia: Feb. 25

Need a silver lining for jumping into icy cold water? This year marks the 25th anniversary of our Virginia Beach event, so we’ll toast plungers with special 25th anniversary silver cups, water bottles, limited edition sunglasses, warm towels and other cool prizes.

Feb. 3-4 in Virginia Beach: our Cool School student and teacher plungers will test the chilly waters February 3 before the rest of humanity descends upon the beachFebruary 4 for our OnUp Dash & Splash Challenge, featuring 1 Mile and 4 Mile routes along the Boardwalk, our Boogie Down the Board Walk Costume Parade and Contest and of course, the main Plunge event.

Make it a double – or triple dip – by also joining us in the New River Valley Feb. 18 and Richmond or Northern Virginia Feb. 25. Now that’s COOL!
