Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery at Burke and Herbert Bank

Prince William County police are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday at the Burke and Herbert Bank on Smoketown Road in Woodbridge.

Employees told police an unknown man entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The man then pulled out a handgun and demanded money before taking an undisclosed amount of money and fleeing to the rear of the bank.

The suspect was seen on surveillance footage getting into a vehicle and leaving the area towards an unknown direction. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a 5’11”, 165-pound black male between 25 and 30 years old with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black wool jacket with buttons, a black ski mask and black pants. The vehicle is described as a gray, 4-door early 90s model Acura Legend with a sunroof.
