Suspect Wanted In Connection With Woodbridge Assault: Police
A Woodbridge man is wanted after he was accused of choking and assaulting an acquaintance in Woodbridge earlier this month, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man is wanted by police after he was accused of choking and assaulting a woman at his home on April 1. Authorities have not been able to locate the man, who they identified as Steven David Deane.
On April 1, police offers responded to a home in the 3800 block of Ogilvie Court in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic incident. A 27-year-old woman told police that she was involved in an argument with Deane at his home that morning.
As the argument escalated, the woman attempted to leave the home, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. The victim said Deane followed her out of the house, grabbed her by the throat, and threw her on the ground.

The victim left the area and reported the incident to police. The woman did not report any injuries, according to the police department.
After an investigation, officers received arrest warrants for Deane. He is charged with strangulation and domestic assault and battery.

Initial attempts to locate Deane have been unsuccessful, police said.
Deane is 32 year old, and authorities described him as a white man. He is 6 feet, two inches tall, and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has short blond hair, blue eyes, and a full beard and moustache.
