Suspect Wanted for Forcing Driver to Crash Into Median on Dale Blvd

Police are searching for a man accused of veering into another driver's lane and causing him to strike a median Saturday afternoon.

Prince William County Police are searching for a Woodbridge man who reportedly caused another motorist to veer into a median Saturday afternoon.

Prince William County Police responded to a caller’s report of a reckless driver near Dale Boulevard and the I-95 overpass in Woodbridge Saturday, Oct. 18 at 5:32 p.m. The driver reportedly ran multiple red lights while traveling on Dale Boulevard before he aggressively veered into the caller’s lane, causing him to leave the roadway and strike a median.

No injuries were reported and the caller’s vehicle suffered only minor damage.

The caller was able to provide police with the vehicle’s licence plate, which police used to identify the driver as the accused and subsequently obtain warrants for his arrest.

Jamal Sayed Hashimi, 20, of Woodbridge, is wanted for attempted malicious wounding and driving on a suspended license. He is described as a 5’11”, 165-pound Middle Eastern male with a thin build, short black hair, brown eyes and an unshaven face.
