Mr. Tavon “Tay” Richardson of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the age of 39.
Tavon was born to parents Charles and the late Renee C. Richardson on July 4, 1976 in Baltimore, Md. He grew up as the eldest of 4 and attended Gar-field High School. In 2000, he married the love of his life, Shirley. In 2012, he took a position as an electrician’s apprentice and was studying at JATC (Manassas) to become a journeyman’s electrician. Tavon was a proud member of the Local 26 IBEW Electrical Union and was also an active member of ARC DC. Tavon was a great person to know. If you knew Tavon he would always tell you what was on his mind. He never sugar coated anything. If there was a problem he was always the first to volunteer to help. If he didn’t know how to solve a problem he wouldn’t stop searching for the answer until he found it. He loved his wife, family and friends. Tavon was a great family man, leader, and a great teammate. His jokes and laughs always brightened your day. Tavon will truly be missed.
Tavon is survived by his wife Shirley, daughters, Renee and Jasmine; his son, Donovan; his Father Charles {Velma} three siblings, brothers Gerry and Terrell and sister Shekela. Along with (6) nephews and (2) nieces and a host of aunts, uncles and friends.
