Week in Review

On Aug. 24, a natural gas leak on the Prince William Parkway resulted in the closure of lanes between Greatbridge Road and east of Hoadly Road. The incident was resolved in under an hour, Prince William County Police responded the scene and directed traffic behind the Potomac Nationals complex through River Falls neighborhood.

Opinion writer Daniel Medina probed into the public's opinion concerning the upcoming midterm Congressional elections for Virginia's 11^th district. Signs stating "November is Coming" have been spotted throughout area neighborhoods. Incumbent Democrat Gerry Connolly will be up against his former opponent, Republican Keith Fimian.

Woodbridge Patch followed the Potomac Nationals through two series, and all the while chronicled baseball news concerning Cuban Pitcher Yunesky Maya and major leaguer Stephen Strasburg's injured shoulder.

Our "Tackling Technology" column, written by local tech blogger Jean Westcott, debuted this week. This week's topics were audio books and Google's built-in Internet phone.

Rapper Nas and reggae artist Damian Marley came to Potomac Mills today for an album signing at Potomac Mills.
