Woodbridge Patch celebrated its one-week anniversary on Friday! If you missed our first week of content and want to learn more about us, check out the Welcome Video.

On Aug. 24, a natural gas leak on the Prince William Parkway resulted in the closure of lanes between Greatbridge Road and east of Hoadly Road. The incident was resolved in under an hour, Prince William County Police responded the scene and directed traffic behind the Potomac Nationals complex through River Falls neighborhood.

Opinion writer Daniel Medina probed into the public's opinion concerning the upcoming midterm Congressional elections for Virginia's 11th district. Signs stating "November is Coming" have been spotted throughout area neighborhoods. Incumbent Democrat Gerry Connolly will be up against his former opponent, Republican Keith Fimian.

Woodbridge Patch followed the Potomac Nationals through two series, and all the while chronicled baseball news concerning Cuban Pitcher Yunesky Maya and major leaguer Stephen Strasburg's injured shoulder.

Our "Tackling Technology" column, written by local tech blogger Jean Westcott, debuted this week. This week's topics were audio books and Google's built-in Internet phone.
