
William Emmanuel Jackson Sr., the son of the late Dorothy Louise Peters and William Wood Jackson, was born on April 25, 1951 and departed from this life on March 14, 2015. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and resided in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Emmanuel received his education at Carver High School in Baltimore, Maryland. There after he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in the year of 1970. While serving his country as a Non-Commissioned Officer, Emmanuel was awarded the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, (2) Pistol Expert Badge, (2) National Defense Service Medal, Seven Good Conduct Medal, a Letter of Recognition, (2) Letters of Appreciation and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Commendation Medal, and along with many other awards. After proudly serving twenty-three years in the service, Emmanuel retired in 1993.
On December 19, 1973, Emmanuel married the love of his life Germaine Yolanda Carr, from that union, two beautiful children, William Emmanuel Jackson Jr. and Rolanda Silone Jackson.

In 1995, he became a policeman with the Defense Logistics Agency in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. While employed there, Emmanuel earned many certificates. Emmanuel also earned the rank of Captain of Police. Soon after, he recently retired from this position.
Emmanuel leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife: Germaine Yolanda Jackson, two children: William Emmanuel Jackson Jr. and Rolanda Silone Jackson-Almonte (Welin), two grandchildren: Lanisha Yolanda Jackson and Jerinson Devon Almonte. He also leaves eight siblings: Michael Jackson, Dennis Jackson (Jean), Theodore Jackson (April), Genier Coleman, Barbara Atkinson, Thelma Miles (Ronald), Jeanette Anderson and Dorothy Budd along with a host of other family members and friends.

Emmanuel will be sorely missed, for his smile, honesty, quiet demeanor and kind heart.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00pm at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - 3200 Golansky Blvd - Woodbridge, VA 22192. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery TBA.
