Woodbridge To Go Without 4th Of July Celebration In 2020

Woodbridge is not holding any 4th of July celebrations in 2020, although residents will be celebrating the holiday in their backyards.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Woodbridge. Residents, on the other hand, will be holding backyard celebrations and are guaranteed to set off fireworks from their own private supplies.

Last year, given that it was the Potomac Nationals' final season in Woodbridge before the franchise moved to Fredericksburg, Pfitzner Stadium held a special 4th of July fireworks show. But this year, Woodbridge does not have any special Fourth of July events, including fireworks shows, on the schedule.

Elsewhere in the area, the annual Dale City Fourth of July Parade has been canceled. The Dale City parade traditionally includes marching bands from Gar-Field and Hylton High Schools.
