Woodbridge Resident's Jeopardy! Winning Streak Comes To An End

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Woodbridge resident Karen Farrell's successful run on Jeopardy! came to an end on Tuesday night's show when Lisa Warne-Magro from Austin, Texas, was victorious. Farrell won $159,603 during her eight-game winning streak before coming up against Warne-Magro in her ninth game.

Farrell's display of knowledge and game strategy allowed her to win enough money to qualify for the show's Tournament of Champions. The political consultant holds two University of Virginia degrees in foreign affairs, a master's earned in 2011 and Ph.D. earned in 2015. Prior to attending UVA, Farrell attended Princeton University where she graduated in 2009 with a degree in politics.

In 2019, Farrell worked as a campaign manager for Andrea Bailey, who was running for a seat on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. Bailey, a Democrat, was elected as Potomac District supervisor in November.

Farrell told Jeopardy!'s producers that she plans to save some of her winnings to help with her baby girl's education and then use a portion to do some traveling.
