Woodbridge Stabbing Suspect Sought By Prince William Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man was stabbed in Woodbridge on Monday evening. The Prince William County Police Department is attempting to locate a suspect, who they identified as Derrell Nesbitt.

At 9:21 p.m. on Monday, officers with the Prince William County Police Department received a report of a stabbing in the 14600 block of Endsley Turn in Woodbridge. After an investigation, authorities determined the stabbing was an argument that escalated.

After an argument at a home on Endsley Turn, the 30-year-old victim and Nesbitt began to fight, according to a report from the police department. The argument began not longer after the victim arrived at the home.

Authorities claimed Nesbitt used a knife to stab the victim during the fight. After the two men separated, a family member took the victim to the hospital. The police department said the victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators identified Nesbitt as the suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. He is charged with one count of malicious wounding. However, authorities have been unable to locate him.

Authorities describe Nesbitt as a Black man, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
