AAA Projects 13,000 Driver Rescues In Washington During Holidays

The travel organization is projecting a record holiday driving season.

BELLEVUE, WA - AAA is projecting that it will need to rescue some 13,800 Washington drivers between Christmas and New Year's Eve, mostly due to problems that are entirely preventable.

AAA is projecting that it will primarily be rescuing drivers in Washington and Idaho from problems like lockouts and battery jumps. To prove them wrong, AAA is recommending that drivers take a few simple steps to avoid holiday travel dilemmas.

"AAA recommends motorists check the condition of their battery and tires before heading out on a road trip, especially as low temperatures continue to sweep the Pacific Northwest," the organization is saying.
