Annual Wild-n-Woolly Sheep Shearing Saturday at Kelsey Creek

On Saturday, sheep being shorn of their winter coats are the featured attraction at the Kelsey Creek Wild-n-Woolly Sheep Shearing.

Families are welcome at Kelsey Creek Park this Saturday, as the farm's sheep are shorn of their winter coats at the annual Kelsey Creek Wild-n-Woolly Sheep Shearing event.

The event promises lots of fun for kids, including crafts, tractor rides, pony rides and food.

The city of Bellevue, which sponsors the event, provided the following information:

Wild n’ Woolly Sheep Shearing: Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. rain or shine at Kelsey Creek Park, 410-130th Pl. SE.

Activities include shearing and spinning demonstrations, children's crafts, tractor rides, pony rides and food. Started in the early ‘90s, the annual event typically draws 10,000.

 Admission is free, but the costs vary for food and some activities ($1-$5). No ATM is available on-site. Free shuttles are available from/to Wilburton Park & Ride, 720 114th Ave. SE and Bannerwood Sports Park, 1630 132nd Ave.
