Bel-Red Road Repaving Project Begins March 22
The first of several spring repaving projects will focus on a busy stretch of Bel-Red Road.
BELLEVUE, WA — Springtime in Bellevue is heralded not only by sunshine and new color on the trees but also by the familiar sights and sounds of roadwork.
Two days after the spring officially begins, Bellevue will embark upon its annual repaving season, starting with a busy stretch of Northeast Bel-Red Road. The first project, planned between 124th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 30th street, is scheduled primarily on weekdays and will require some lane closures. Some work will take place at night to avoid more significant traffic delays.
Beginning March 22, the city encourages drivers to plan for delays in the work area and consider alternate routes when possible. Residents can find the latest traffic advisories on the city's website.

Bellevue transportation officials are leading the project in coordination with neighboring Redmond, where a portion of the work will take place.
All told, Bellevue plans to repave 34 miles between April and October, replace more than 60 curb ramps and pilot a micro-surfacing program in two neighborhoods, which adds a layer of protection and takes less time to apply.
