Bellevue Car Thief Rolled Stolen Car, Fled Before Arrest: Police
A suspected car thief ran away from a rollover crash Monday then hid at a nearby business, according to the Bellevue Police Department.

BELLEVUE, WA — A man driving a stolen vehicle rolled and crashed on Northup Way Monday afternoon, then fled the scene before he was found at a nearby business, according to the Bellevue Police Department.
Witnesses reported the crash near the 10900 block of Northup Way around 4 p.m. Officers responding to the collision found the vehicle abandoned, and a check of the license plate revealed it was reported stolen, police said. A Bellevue police spokesperson told Patch the man ran and hid at a business further south on Northup Way, close to the State Route 520 and Interstate 405 interchange, where he was apprehended a short time later.

Investigators expected delays to continue on Northup Way into the late afternoon, while crews worked to clear the crash debris and repair a downed telephone pole in the area.
