The Bellevue Festival of the Arts: It’s the standout of the Bellevue Arts Fair Weekend that’s by artists, for artists, and gives back to the community around it! Announcing the 2017 Bellevue Festival of the Arts! As one of the Eastside’s leading arts festivals and now in its 33rd triumphant year, the BFoA returns July 28-30, 2017 in downtown Bellevue, Washington. Presented by the Craft Cooperative of the Northwest, the BFoA curates an award-winning show of rich and diverse multiple mediums, with artists hailing from the Pacific Northwest, U.S., and beyond each year.

The BFoA offers beautiful, rich and diverse works of art in a variety of mediums, showcased in an inviting urban setting, with tree-lined paths of art in a rare open-air venue. Attendees who visit the BFoA have the unique opportunity to view and purchase lovely works of art, as well as to meet and talk with the artists who create them firsthand. This year’s acclaimed local talents include Gunter Reimnitz, Justin Hillgrove, Sharrey Doré, Bob Wilfong, Juli Adams, Francisco Bautista, Pepe Moscoso, Kate Larsson, Ashmita Gulati, David Lutrick, Michelle Aitken, and more.

As always, the BFoA goes beyond art, as a yearly committed community partner in which the proceeds from the festival, are donated to local and global charities that will help make the world a better place. This year’s charitable contributions and community partners include Education at Elevation, L’Arche Noah Sealth of Seattle, CERF-Craft Emergency Relief Fund, American Indian College Fund, Standing Rock Sioux Nation, Teen Feed, and more.

New Attractions: Aubrey’s Art Corner Lets Little Artists Create at Show!

This year, the BFoA hosts Aubrey’s Art Corner, a kids’ DIY art tent where children of all ages and parents can stop in and make their very own art projects at the festival! Aubrey’s Art Corner was created in memory of dear BFoA friend and talented artist Aubrey Morgan, who passed away from cancer in 2016, and who was a passionate supporter of inspiring children to make and explore art and creativity. Aubrey’s Art Corner honors her artistic spirit with a space encouraging joy in creativity, bringing to life Aubrey’s belief that “Inspiration is the most organic thing our minds can grow.” Among its highlights, Pratt Fine Art Center will be in Aubrey’s Art Corner Friday from 10-2 p.m. with an instructor to lead a fun, creative kids’ art activity.
