BELLEVUE, WA — The Bellevue School District is hoping to vaccinate hundreds of students during a Saturday clinic at Sammamish High School. The weekend clinic is open to all Bellevue students 16 and older and will offer 500 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. For students who are 18, there will also be 250 doses of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine available.

A second clinic planned in early June will provide students their second dose, and offers another chance for older students to get a Johnson & Johnson shot.

Here are the dates:

Students can sign up for Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson spots online and will need to bring their school identification card or student ID number. For students under 18, parents will also need to fill out a consent form, which can be printed and completed ahead of time or at the clinic.

The weekend clinic comes as King County expands efforts to reach younger people, amid new authorizations that now allow for Pfizer immunizations in patients as young as 12 years old. More school clinics are in the works, and public health officials said most districts have plans for school immunization opportunities before the summer break.

Students and parents can learn more about getting vaccinated and find a few vaccine facts on the public health website. Families that are unable to make it to the Saturday clinic can also search for appointments or walk-up clinics around Bellevue and King County.
