Bellevue LifeSpring Is First Stop for Symetra Sleigh
Symetra employees help raise funds for the company's 8th annual Adopt-a-Family holiday giving campaign to benefit local families in need
It took some creative stacking to fit everything in, but Symetra’s Adopt-a-Family “sleigh” departed from the Symetra Center building in downtown Bellevue on Dec. 12 with more than 1,000 holiday gifts. Deliveries were made to local nonprofits like Bellevue LifeSpring, which will distribute the festively wrapped presents and gift cards to individuals and families in need around the greater Bellevue-Seattle area.
Symetra’s 8th annual holiday giving campaign began in November with the ‘Bite of Symetra’ bake sale, continued with an ugly sweater contest in which Bellevue office employees cast $1 ‘votes’ for the ugliest sweater, and included several employee-hosted fundraisers like spaghetti lunches and pizza parties. All proceeds were contributed to the Adopt-a-Family campaign to help make some holiday wishes come true.
The 2017 campaign “adopted” individuals and families at six organizations: Bellevue LifeSpring; Imagine Housing; Kindering; Olive Crest; Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington and Sound Generations.
