Bellevue Plans 40 Miles Of Paving Projects This Summer

BELLEVUE, WA — You might have to deal with some delays and reroutes, but at the end of this construction season, Bellevue commuters will get miles of freshly paved roads, bike lanes, and rebuilt sidewalks, city officials say.

Bellevue is aiming to repave 40 miles of road this year, which is double the usual annual amount. Along with that, the city will add 3.2 new bike lane miles, build 2,500 feet of sidewalk in the Tam O’Shanter neighborhood, and replace 69 curb ramps.

The work will happen throughout construction season, which generally lasts until the rainy season begins in autumn. You'll see signs pop up along roads before construction begins (and you might get a hang tag on your door, too). Here's a list of all the repaving projects Bellevue hopes to complete in 2019:
